Ingredients
1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
8–9 slices cheddar or American cheese
1 package (12-count) Hawaiian rolls, using 8-9
2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
1. Mix ground beef, onion, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until just combined.
2. Divide into 8-9 patties, slightly wider than the buns.
3. Cook in a skillet over medium heat, 4-5 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
4. Top each patty with cheese during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
5. Slice Hawaiian rolls, brush with melted butter, and toast lightly.
6. Assemble sliders with patties between toasted buns.
7. Serve warm.
Notes
For a milder flavor, reduce the spices slightly.
Patties can be made a day ahead and refrigerated before cooking.
Cooked patties freeze well for up to 3 months.
Grind beef should reach an internal temperature of 160°F for food safety.
