Description

This Jalapeño Popper Pizza is creamy, cheesy, and completely customizable. Inspired by classic jalapeño poppers, it swaps tomato sauce for a rich cream cheese base, then layers melty cheese, jalapeños, and optional bacon on a crispy crust. It’s bold without being overwhelming and perfect for pizza night, parties, or game day.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pizza

  • 1 pizza dough or flatbread base

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 23 jalapeños, sliced (fresh or pickled)

  • ¼ cup cooked bacon, chopped (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional Add-Ins

  • Pepper jack cheese

  • Ranch drizzle (after baking)

  • Smoked paprika (for bacon-free version)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and a small handful of shredded cheese until smooth.

  3. Place the pizza dough or flatbread on the prepared baking sheet.

  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the base, leaving a small border around the edges.

  5. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar evenly over the top.

  6. Add sliced jalapeños and bacon (if using).

  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is lightly golden.

  8. Let the pizza rest for 2–3 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • For a milder pizza, remove jalapeño seeds and membranes or use pickled jalapeños.

  • For extra heat, keep the membranes or add pepper jack cheese.

  • Bacon is optional — smoked mushrooms or paprika work well as substitutes.

  • Letting the pizza rest briefly helps the topping set before slicing.
