Description

These chocolate quinoa crisps are a simple, no-bake snack made with puffed quinoa and melted chocolate. They’re light, crunchy, and perfectly snackable — the kind of homemade treat that feels indulgent without being heavy. Quick to make, easy to customize, and all about that satisfying crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups puffed quinoa

  • 1 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips (60–70% recommended)

  • Optional: pinch of flaky sea salt

  • Optional add-ins: finely chopped nuts or seeds (keep dry)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Make sure everything is completely dry.

  2. Melt the chocolate gently using a microwave in short intervals or a double boiler, stirring until smooth and glossy.

  3. Add the puffed quinoa to the melted chocolate and gently fold until evenly coated. Avoid crushing the quinoa.

  4. Spoon small mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.

  5. Let the chocolate quinoa crisps set at room temperature until firm, or chill briefly if your kitchen is warm.

  6. Once set, enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Puffed quinoa is essential — cooked quinoa will not work.

  • For less sweetness, use darker chocolate.

  • Keep add-ins dry to protect the crunch.

  • Store at room temperature in an airtight container for best texture.
