Description
This Bread Wreath with Baked Brie is a warm, festive pull-apart bread baked around a wheel of creamy brie. Golden on the outside, soft inside, and irresistibly melty in the center, it’s the perfect crowd-pleasing dish for cozy gatherings and holiday tables — impressive, comforting, and surprisingly easy to make.
Ingredients
-
1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
-
1 wheel brie cheese (8–12 oz, rind on)
-
2 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
-
1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
-
¼ cup dried cranberries or fig jam (optional)
-
Salt, to taste
-
Honey, for drizzling (optional, after baking)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Divide the pizza dough into equal pieces.
-
Place the brie wheel in the center of the baking sheet.
-
Arrange the dough pieces in a loose circle around the brie, leaving small gaps between each piece.
-
Lightly score each dough piece with a knife, cutting toward the brie but not touching it.
-
Brush dough with melted butter or olive oil and sprinkle with herbs and salt.
-
Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the bread is golden and baked through.
-
If the bread browns too quickly, loosely tent with foil.
-
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with honey if using.
Notes
-
Keep the brie cold until baking to reduce leaking.
-
Score the rind shallowly — do not cut all the way through.
-
Rustic shaping is better than packing the dough tightly.
-
Best served warm and fresh from the oven.
