Description

  • Super simple, melt-in-your-mouth 3-Ingredient Slow Cooker Pulled Pork — packed with flavor and perfect for busy weeknights or big gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lb pork shoulder (boneless or bone-in)

  • 1 bottle (16 oz) barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)

  • 1 can (12 oz) root beer or Dr. Pepper

Instructions

  • Place the pork shoulder in the bottom of the slow cooker.

  • Pour the entire can of root beer (or Dr. Pepper) over the meat.

  • Add the barbecue sauce on top.

  • Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreddable.

  • Remove pork, shred with two forks, and return to the slow cooker to mix with juices.

  • Serve on buns, over rice, or in tacos.

Notes

  • You can substitute cola or Dr. Pepper for root beer depending on your flavor preference.

  • For a spicy version, use a chipotle BBQ sauce or add a pinch of chili flakes.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
